Summer has finally arrived in Vancouver, and this summer will be hotter than ever. If you have long heavy hair way overdue for a hair cut, or not sure about what style to get, read on.
If you looked at some of my recent works, you’ll see a lot of shorter hair cuts and some medium length cuts. They all have one thing in common: they’re all very textured. Short hair cut, if not textured, can still be heavy and blunt, so even if you have shorter hair you should still get it textured to give you something fun, shaggy, and modern look.
If you have a Mohawk / Phohawk, you still have longer pieces at the top of the head, and that’s where you should get it textured, and perhaps go for some line-arts on the side to really personalize your style.
For medium length hair, the trend is to razor cut so the ends have natural tendency to flip out. Shag in a way so that it’s messy but well-balanced. Remember, thick bang is for fall/winter, so lighten up before you have pimples all over your forehead, please.

As I always tell my boys, men’s hair style without using styling products (clay, wax, dare I say – gel?) is NOT a style. I hate when I give a guy a really cool hair cut, but he goes out there not styling his hair at all. At least put on some wax and just scrunch a little… won’t take you more than 2 minutes, I promise! I have prepared a tutorial showing you how to style men’s hair, click here.
